Katie McDonald is the President of 4 the Love Foundation and actively contributes on the Fulfillment Team and the Event Committee. She is deeply committed to supporting the Foundation’s mission and helping make a positive impact in her community.
Katie is also a devoted mother of three, a loving wife to her husband David, and the owner of KD Lane, a cherished local online boutique. She values quality family time and embraces spontaneous adventures with those she loves most.
Katie’s positivity, compassion, and servant heart shine through everything she does. Through her work with 4 the Love Foundation, she instills the importance of giving back and volunteerism in her children.
Above all, Katie embodies love, gratitude, and an authentic desire to make a meaningful impact in her family and community. Her warm heart and infectious smile continue to spread joy wherever she goes.

maxey brooks
Maxey, Secretary of 4 the Love Foundation and a Washington native from Spokane, has called Olympia home for over a decade. She is a devoted mother and loving wife to Jeff, with her family being her greatest joy.
Maxey is passionate about giving back to the community through volunteering, recruiting, and supporting those in need.
In her free time, Maxey enjoys spending quality moments with family and friends, listening to audiobooks, and walking her dog, Kona. Known for her loyalty, empathy, and love, Maxey is committed to teaching and uplifting those around her.

ct moen
CT Moen is the Treasurer of 4 the Love Foundation and a longtime volunteer who has been part of the organization since before it was officially founded. CT’s steady presence, financial insight, and deep care for community help ensure the foundation can continue showing up for families across Thurston County.
Professionally, CT works in nonprofit association management, partnering closely with boards and committees to create balanced budgets, track financial data, and provide clear, transparent reporting. Prior to this role, CT spent many years at Intel Corporation, managing procurement, logistics, financial analysis, and supply chain operations for new product launches.
CT has a long history of service in Olympia, holding numerous board and leadership roles with local schools and nonprofits over the past two decades. Having lived in Olympia for more than 26 years and raised three children here, CT believes deeply in giving back to the community that has given so much. Known for being thoughtful, organized, and a calming presence, CT brings patience, collaboration, and heart to the 4 the Love Foundation board and is proud to support a mission that helps neighbors in need feel seen, supported, and loved.

courtney prothero
Courtney is the Program Manager of Monarch Children’s Justice & Advocacy Center. Monarch provides critical services that support children, teens and vulnerable adults who have been impacted by abuse and trauma. Courtney and her team prioritize compassionate advocacy, and high quality care to ensure a safe, healing-centered environment. With a focus on collaboration, one of Courtney’s goals is to increase community partnerships and drive initiatives that protect children’s rights.
Courtney enjoys time with her three children, being on the water with her husband and friends, running, boating, and music. Known for her communication and advocacy skills, she is passionate about creating systemic change.
Grateful for her board colleagues and volunteers, Courtney is proud of 4 the Love Foundation's impact and believes in "We rise by lifting others."

Knute Lehmann
Knute Lehmann is a proud supporter and board member of the 4 the Love Foundation, bringing with him a lifelong commitment to service, community, and compassion. A retired U.S. Army veteran and current Patrol Sergeant with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, Knute has dedicated his life to protecting and uplifting others. He has lived in Thurston County for nearly 15 years and remains deeply invested in the well-being of his neighbors and community. Knute is a PNW transplant, originally from Las Vegas, NV.
Knute currently serves as the union president for his agency and sits on the board of the Washington Fraternal Order of Police Labor Coalition, roles that reflect his passion for leadership and advocacy. His dedication to serving something greater than himself aligns perfectly with the mission of 4 the Love Foundation—supporting those in need, fostering community connections, and making a lasting impact.
Outside of work, Knute enjoys exploring the open road by riding his motorcycle, cycling, traveling, and connecting with others over a great meal. He is also an avid racing enthusiast. His energy and heart for service are at the core of everything he does, and he is honored and humbled at the opportunity to serve under this foundation.

Tessa Effland
Tessa Effland, a native of Olympia, Washington, is a devoted wife and mother of two. She owns Fit Life Studio and Nutrition in Briggs Village and, as a certified Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, is passionate about supporting her community’s health and wellness.
She loves hosting events, hiking, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, weightlifting, and running. Tessa's "let's get to yes" attitude drives her proactive and positive approach to life and work.
As Co-Founder of 4 the Love Foundation, Tessa is passionate about making a positive impact in the community. She values the foundation's growth and the dedication of its board members in spreading love and support to those in need.

Nicole andres
Nicole Andres, co-founder of 4 the Love Foundation, has been a bartender in Thurston County for nearly two decades and owns Nicole’s Bar in downtown Olympia. Despite challenges during the Covid pandemic, she successfully established her bar and demonstrated resilience and adaptability.
Nicole, honored as Thurston Chamber Boss of the Year, supports the community through the 4 the Love Foundation. Family and friends are the center of her life, inspiring her passion, drive, and the care she brings to everything she does.

Katie is a devoted mother of three and a loving wife to Brandon, owner of BES Electrical Services. She supports her children, Lalie, Jenner, and Baylor, in their sports and activities. Lalie excels in volleyball, Jenner in baseball and football, and Baylor in basketball and volleyball.
Katie previously worked in real estate but chose to focus on her family. She enjoys hosting, decorating, and yard work. Known for her ability to connect with others, Katie embodies community spirit and support. She coached her children's sports teams in the past and remains their biggest cheerleader.
Though she loves travel, Katie values a stable home environment amidst her children's busy sports schedules, balancing adventure with cherished family moments at home.
